Dhaka: Calling on the protesters demanding the resignation of President Md. Shahabuddin to remain calm, Hasnat Abdullah and Sarjis Alam, coordinators of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, said, "Hopefully, President Md. Shahabuddin will resign by Thursday. Otherwise, we will join the movement again."

On Tuesday (October 22), Hasnat Abdullah and Sarjis Alam, along with a few coordinators, appeared in front of Bangabhaban around 12:45 am. Then the two coordinators addressed the protesters.

Addressing the protesters, Coordinator Hasnat Abdullah said, "Conspirator Md. Shahabuddin must resign. But if this country is left without a president before the next president is finalized, foreign powers will rise up. We will not let that happen. Therefore, in the next two days, Wednesday and Thursday, we will talk to everyone and make someone the president who will not be controversial." Then Md. Shahabuddin will be forced to resign. Give us two days for this.

However, even after the coordinators' statement, some of the protesters left, while others continued to protest in front of Bangabhaban demanding the resignation of the President.
