On the ground, it can be seen that the Independence-Sovereignty Protection Committee (ISPC), Zia Cyber Force and several other organizations have participated in the sit-in program along with the students. In addition, some have also taken a stand under personal banners.

Meanwhile, a mass gathering has started at Shaheed Minar demanding the resignation of President Md. Shahabuddin and the banning of Chhatra League. The call for the mass gathering has been given by the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement.

Hasnat Abdullah, one of the coordinators of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, gave this information in a post on his Facebook. He called on everyone to gather at the central Shaheed Minar at 3:30 pm on Tuesday (October 22).

In the post, he described Chhatra League as 'terrorists' and demanded its ban. In addition, in his post, he called the President an 'ally of fascism' and demanded his resignation.

Another coordinator, Sarjis Alam, said he was going to Shaheed Minar in the afternoon. He urged everyone to come to Shaheed Minar on Facebook.

Sarjis Alam wrote, "The terrorist Chhatra League has to be banned, revolutionary students and the public are being met at Shaheed Minar demanding the resignation of Shahabuddin Chuppu, an ally of fascists."

In a recent interview with the daily Manabzamin editor Matiur Rahman Chowdhury, the President said that he does not have any documentary evidence or documents regarding Sheikh Hasina's resignation. Various debates and criticisms were going on across the country throughout Monday.

Since then, questions have been raised about his continued tenure as President from various quarters. Although President Md. Shahabuddin said that the issue of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's resignation has been resolved, everyone should refrain from creating any new controversy on this issue and destabilizing or embarrassing the interim government.

This information was announced in a press release from the President's Office on Monday (October 21).
