The university administration has suspended all classes and exams on Monday at Dhaka University following clashes and chases between Dhaka University and seven affiliated government colleges.

On Sunday (January 26), the acting director of the university's public relations department, Rafiqul Islam, confirmed the matter at around 2 pm.

The DU proctor said, "We are deeply shocked by the current situation. In such a situation, all classes and exams at Dhaka University on Monday have been suspended in an administrative meeting. A meeting has been called with the principals of seven colleges tomorrow. We hope that the matter will be resolved peacefully through discussions with all parties.

Earlier, a chase started between students of seven colleges who came to surround the residence of the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Education) of Dhaka University (DU) and DU students.
