Seven colleges will be given an integrated institutional form by removing them from the affiliation of Dhaka University, Education Adviser Dr. Wahiduddin Mahmud said.

He said this while addressing the 184th founding anniversary of Dhaka College on Wednesday (November 20).

The Education Adviser said that the affiliation of seven traditional colleges in the capital was an unwise decision. After being affiliated, students of these colleges had to face various harassments, exam-related complications and various obstacles. This has disrupted the meaning of education. To free students from this, efforts are being made to give the seven colleges an integrated institutional form.

He also said that the name of that integrated institution will be decided after discussing with the students. A committee has already been formed for this. We are monitoring it. Students can monitor it if they want.

Calling on students to stop the agitation and return to class, Dr. Wahiduddin Mahmud said, "This government is working to eliminate discrimination against students. The problems that exist have been asked to be conveyed to the heads of institutions. We will work on them later. I will call on students to return to class so that their studies are not disrupted. All their problems will be resolved."
