Israeli attacks killed 17,500 children in Gaza
Dhaka: The country's state media office has reported that 17,500 children have been killed so far in Israeli army attacks across the besieged Gaza Strip.
This information was revealed in a live update report by Qatar-based media outlet Al Jazeera on Tuesday (November 19).
The report, citing the state media office in Gaza, said that the Israeli-Palestinian war has passed its 410th day. The latest statistics show that 43,972 Palestinian civilians have been killed in Gaza so far due to Israeli attacks. More than 17,500 of them are children. Among the children killed, 211 are newborns, and 825 are children under one year old.
The report also said that 70 percent of the total victims of the genocide were women and children. In addition, 35,060 children have lost their parents. Another 3,500 children are at risk of death due to malnutrition and hunger.
According to the United Nations, about 85 percent of the Palestinians in Gaza have been displaced due to Israel's brutal attack. And amid severe shortages of food, clean water and medicine, all of Gaza is now in a state of food insecurity.
Note that since October 7 last year, at least 43,712 people have been killed in Israeli military attacks on Gaza. Another 103,258 have been injured during this time.
On the other hand, 1,139 people have been killed in Hamas attacks in Israel. More than 200 Israeli citizens are imprisoned.
In addition, 3,365 people have been killed in Israeli attacks in Lebanon so far. 14,344 people have been injured.
