Tawfiq Hasan said that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has not yet received any official instructions to bring back former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Apart from this, the status of Sheikh Hasina's position in India is not known (to us).

When asked whether there was any discussion about bringing Sheikh Hasina back in the meeting with Prannoy Verma, the Indian High Commissioner appointed in Dhaka, he said that there was no discussion about it.

Recently, the spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs of India, Randhir Jaiswal, said that Sheikh Hasina is not in the country as a political asylum, but as a state guest.

Meanwhile, measures will be taken to return Sheikh Hasina from India to the country, said the foreign adviser Touhid Hossain.
