JU Chhatra Shibir announces 17-member full committee

The full committee of the Jahangirnagar University (JU) branch of Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir has been announced. The new committee for the 2025 session has been formed with Mohibur Rahman Muhib as the president and Mustafizur Rahman as the secretary. The full committee consists of 17 members.

The full committee was announced through a notification signed by the university branch president Muhibur Rahman Muhib on Friday (January 24).

Muhibur Rahman (Muhib), a student of the 17-18 session (47 batch) of the Bangla department, has taken charge as the president of the committee, and Mustafizur Rahman, a student of the 17-18 session (47 batch) of the Philosophy department, has taken charge as the secretary.

The other members of the committee are Education and Skill Development Secretary Abdullah Al Mamun Saki (47), Dawah Secretary Moshiur Rahman (47), Office and Publicity Secretary Md. Mazharul Islam (48), Finance Secretary Md. Rakibul Hasan (48), Human Resource Development Secretary Md. Rakibul Islam (49), Student Welfare Secretary Md. Touhid Hasan (49), Science Secretary Md. Toufiq Hussain (48), Research Secretary Ariful Islam (49), International Secretary Mahdi Hasan Jihad (48), Planning and Development Secretary Md. Safayet Mir (49), Environment and Social Services Secretary Md. Tariqul Islam (49), Literature, Publication and Sports Secretary Mahdi Hasan (49), Student Rights Secretary Md. Rakib Hossain (50), Information Technology Secretary Ali Ahmed (50), Human Rights Secretary Md. Raihan Uddin (50).

Regarding the committee formation process, Shibir Secretary Mustafizur Rahman said that Chhatra Shibir forms new committees at all levels from the center to the grassroots in January of every year. The committee president is elected by direct vote of the Shibir members and the secretary is nominated based on the advice of the members. Later, the central president-secretary approved it. The branch president and secretary approved it after analyzing the issues of acceptability, responsibility, loyalty, etc. to the remaining leadership members.
