He said that the interim government does not like the way former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is making statements in the Indian media. Bangladesh has conveyed its displeasure to the Indian government in this regard. It has been requested that Sheikh Hasina not make a statement while sitting in India. However, Bangladesh has not received any response from India. However, the Indian High Commissioner in Dhaka said that they will look into the matter.

The two countries should stop talking about Sheikh Hasina out of mutual respect, said Foreign Ministry spokesperson Tawfiq Hasan.

He also said that visa seekers from third countries will be able to obtain visas from Vietnam and Pakistan instead of Delhi due to the lack of Indian visas.

He also said that the Foreign Ministry does not yet know how many people from the previous Awami League government are currently staying in India.

Sheikh Hasina resigned from the post of Prime Minister on August 5 in the face of intense mass protests by students. She is currently staying in Delhi. After the government was ousted, more than a hundred murder cases have been filed against Sheikh Hasina in different parts of the country. The International Crimes Tribunal has also filed several murder and disappearance charges against her. In view of these charges, the tribunal has issued an arrest warrant against Sheikh Hasina.

Sheikh Hasina has not yet appeared in front of any local or foreign media after leaving the country. However, a statement has been published in her name from the verified Facebook page of the Bangladesh Awami League. On the other hand, there has also been an incident where the audio of her alleged conversation with party leaders and workers was leaked on social media.
