The students of the anti-discrimination movement have protested in Rangpur demanding the resignation of President Md. Sahabuddin, the trial of Awami terrorists and their ban.

The protest procession started in front of the main gate of Begum Rokeya University at 10:30 pm on Monday (October 21).

The protest procession, filled with slogans, passed through the city's Park intersection, Chawkbazar, Shaheed Abu Sayeed Gate and ended at the main gate.

Shamsur Rahman Suman, coordinator of the anti-discrimination student movement, spoke at the protest procession. He said that the President not only broke his oath by lying, but also betrayed the souls of the martyrs. He must be removed immediately. The President is deeply conspiring to protect Sheikh Hasina's hand. If he does not resign himself, the students and the public will force him to resign.

Others also said in their speeches that the President must be removed for two types of statements because the President has embarked on a mission to make the current interim government controversial with good strategy. The President has lost his credibility with such statements. So he has to resign. If he does not resign, then the situation will be like Hasina's.

They expressed their anger and further said that the spirit of the movement had increased from Rangpur, from that Rangpur the desire to move against Chuppu will spread across the country. Request to the interim government to force the elected President of the Awami League to resign quickly. If the President does not resign, we will not leave the streets.
