BPL is getting a new dimension in the Chief Adviser's plan
This year's Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) will start three days later on December 30. This is the first BPL after the country's political upheaval. Therefore, the Cricket Board (BCB) will not lack in efforts to keep it colorful. The final of the 7-team tournament is on February 7, 2025.
Chief adviser Nobel laureate Professor Dr. Mohammad Yunus is directly involved in the planning and design of this season.
The BCB is preparing an action plan around this BPL, which has been going on for more than a month. This time they want to give a different dimension to this franchise cricket. Chief adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus is also involved in the entire arrangement. This was said by BCB Director Nazmul Abedin Fahim.
Fahim spoke about the BPL in a video published on the social media page of the Bangladesh Cricket Board. He said, "We are trying to take this year's BPL to a different level. The Chief adviser, Professor Yunus, is himself involved in it, this is great news for us. Our sports adviser is very closely involved with the BPL.’
Fahim also said, ‘The power of the BPL is that there are not many occasions in our country that everyone is involved with. BPL is one such occasion.’
The BCB wants to make this year’s BPL festive. The BCB director said, ‘We want to spread the BPL all over the country. Not just sports, it can play a role in many other areas beyond sports. I can say this much, every district and upazila will organize various activities among the people, it can be organizing sports, organizing fairs, cultural activities; as long as the BPL continues, all the common people will be associated with the BPL. There will be branding efforts, it will be broadcast all over the world, you will see that a new Bangladesh has been born.’
At the same time, it has been learned that various events including concerts will be held as part of the BPL promotion.
