Commenting that there is peace in the country because there is no Sheikh Hasina, BNP standing committee member Mirza Abbas said that now we have to do Bangladesh minus Awami League because democracy can no longer run together.

He said that even though Sheikh Hasina fled, her cronies still remain. The country cannot move forward with those cronies. They are conspiring. However, if Jamaat and BNP work together in unity, Awami League will not be able to come again.

Mirza Abbas said this at a protest rally at the Engineers Institution in Ramna in the capital on Monday (October 28).

Stating that Jamaat and BNP should work together for the country’s interest, he said, Awami League is gone, we are happy after thinking about it. But there is no reason to be happy. Their cronies are still in Bangladesh’s politics, culture, secretariat, police, military—where, he said, their cronies remain.

The Awami League will never give up, claiming that a conspiracy is going on, the BNP leader said, in different ways, different systems are being introduced on us through different means. Today this theory comes, the day after tomorrow that theory comes. This theory unfortunately comes out of our mouths again.

BNP Chairperson's Advisor Abdus Salam said, the purpose for which the popular uprising took place is ebbing away due to various reasons. Unity between Jamaat and BNP must be strengthened to resist fascism. And national unity must be built so that the 14-party alliance cannot be politically rehabilitated in Bangladesh.

Abdus Salam also said, there may be differences between Jamaat and BNP for various reasons. But we must be united to prevent fascism. The two parties must unite before and after the elections.

Nepal has shown interest in strengthening SAARC, with which BNP also agrees, said Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury, a member of the party's standing committee.

He gave this information after the BNP Secretary General's meeting with the Nepalese ambassador at the BNP Chairperson's office in Gulshan in the capital on Monday (October 28) morning.

Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury said that BNP leaders had discussions with the Nepalese ambassador. Nepal-Bangladesh relations are very old which we could not fully utilize.

He said, we could not take South Asia to the place where we were supposed to be able to take it. We could not take SAARC, which was the dream of martyred President Ziaur Rahman, to the right place. The Nepalese ambassador said that the potential of South Asia SAARC has not been fulfilled.

He also said that SAARC should be taken to the right place for the development of South Asia. We will take SAARC to the right place to improve people-to-people relations, economic development and transportation systems of the two countries.

The BNP leader said that another important topic of discussion was Nepal's hydraulic power. It has huge potential. In that case, we will benefit. We can get supply energy from Nepal through energy flowers or directly. There is an opportunity to get out of the shameful chapter that the power sector has gone through in the last 15 years. If we want, we can bring Nepal's hydropower.

Amir Khasru said that many Nepalese students are studying in Bangladesh. In this context, we will work on how to further advance the education and service centers of the two countries.

Nepal's Ambassador to Bangladesh Ghanshyam Bhandari and Deputy Chief of Mission Ms. Lalita Silwal were present at the meeting. CGS executive director Zillur Rahman said that the crisis of trust was there during the previous government and is still there. The crisis of confidence must be overcome. Political stability is very important that comes into these discussions. If that is not ensured, economic stability will not come. Again, if there is no economic stability, the political crisis will not go away.

Our main problem is statistics. We give loans from banks but we don't see whether the person we are lending to has assets in his tax file. Everyone in the world has a credit rating but we don't.

Those who speak well are not needed. He added that people who can work without talking are needed.

We are not getting employment in the formal sector. We are not doing any work by showing the image of Professor Yunus.

Former NBR chairman Mohammad Abdul Mazid said that if there is no transparency in revenue collection, it will affect the overall product price including price inflation. Dhaka University Pro Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Sayema ​​Haque Bidisha said that small and micro entrepreneurs should be brought under protection through government support. In many cases banks don't want to lend to them, even in that case we have to take policy decisions so that they get loans.

He said, in terms of employment, we still do not have any specific roadmap for less educated and highly educated youth. Industries should build relationships with highly educated unemployed people. Again we can help them in employment by creating economic zones in different parts of the country.

Prosenjit Chakma, the former resident representative of UNDP Bangladesh, said that not only should there be non-discrimination in the case of tribals, but there should be positive discrimination in their case. They should be brought under the safety net. Small entrepreneurs should be created among them. We need to involve them all with various help.

Shahidul Islam Zahid, professor of banking and insurance department of Dhaka University, said that we know all those who are defaulters on purpose, we have tried to keep them secret before, maybe we are still doing it. Legal action should be taken against them.

To revive the banks, public confidence must be restored. That is why we have to take measures to regularize the loans of those we have given loans to. Even if it is reduced, it should return to the bank regularly, he said.
