The International Criminal Court’s Chief Prosecutor Md. Tajul Islam has said that appropriate action will be taken against all those accused of crimes against humanity during the anti-discrimination student-public movement.

While talking to media personnel on Tuesday (December 24), he said, since the scope of the case is nationwide, it will take some time for us to include all the incidents. However, there is no reason for anyone to lose hope. We have brought those who are the main perpetrators or masterminds of the crime first. We will gradually take appropriate action against everyone.

Tajul Islam said, according to the instructions and opinions we have received from the government, all the processes, including the investigation of the cases filed in the police stations, will continue. Until the International Crimes Tribunal accepts the cases as its own cases, the processes of all the court cases will continue.

He said, "To prevent distrust among students and the public regarding the International Crimes Tribunal, I would like to inform you that we are not issuing arrest warrants on a large scale. We are issuing warrants only against those against whom we have concrete evidence after investigation. Just as real criminals will not get away with it, innocent people will not be harassed either."
