Limon alleges in the tribunal against Ziaul and 9 others for losing his leg

Limon, who lost his leg in Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) firing, has filed a complaint with the International Crimes Tribunal against former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's defense adviser Major General (retd) Tariq Ahmed Siddique, former RAB officer Ziaul Ahsan and nine others.

He filed the complaint at the International Crimes Tribunal's Chief Prosecutor's Office on Tuesday (November 12).

Limon said that RAB members captured him and shot him in the leg. A few days later, doctors at Dhaka's Pangu Hospital were forced to amputate his left leg. After that, RAB filed two cases against him related to weapons and obstruction of observing government duty. The then Home Minister Sahara Khatun ordered that his treatment be stopped. At that time, the victim also demanded that RAB be banned.

Limon, an HSC examinee, lost his leg in RAB firing on March 23, 2011. The incident of losing Limon's leg was a hot topic at the time. Limon's home is in Rajapur of Jhalakathi district.

After Limon was shot, RAB filed two separate cases against him under the Arms and Explosives Act, labeling him a terrorist. Limon was acquitted from those cases amid criticism.
