Hasnat Abdullah, one of the coordinators of the anti-discrimination student movement, commented that the talk of state reform will not enter the mind in an empty stomach.

He made this comment in a post on social media Facebook at around 11 pm on Friday (11 October).

Hasnat Abdullah wrote on his verified Facebook ID, 'Suppress syndicates and control commodity prices as soon as possible. The talk of reforming the state will not come to mind on an empty stomach.'

Immediately after his post, various people responded and made various comments.

One person named Niaz Samran wrote, 'It is the mind of all people. It is a timely decision.'

Nishita Mitu wrote, 'This is what millions of people are saying in their minds and mouths. At least if the prices of rice, dal, oil, eggs, potatoes are within reach, people will be able to survive by eating two handfuls for two meals.'
