Israeli airstrikes on Yemen's central power plant
Israel has carried out airstrikes on Yemen's capital Sanaa, including the country's western coast. The attack on Friday (January 10) local time damaged several important facilities, including the country's central power plant. Al Jazeera reported this information.
The report said that on Friday, Israel carried out airstrikes on Yemen's important port city of Ras Issa and the western port of Hodeidah, the Hejiaz Central Power Station near the capital Sanaa, and the Harf Sufyan district in Amran province.
The country's local media outlet Al Masirah reported that an employee of the Ras Issa port was killed and six others were injured in Friday's airstrikes. In addition, the occupying Israeli forces carried out 13 airstrikes targeting a power plant in Heja. One employee of the power plant was killed and three others were injured. Several houses were also damaged in the attack.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the Houthis were paying a heavy price for their aggression against Israel. The Israeli campaign against them will continue.
It is worth noting that the Iran-backed Houthis have been attacking Israelis in solidarity with the Palestinians since the start of the Hamas-Israeli conflict in 2023.
