Air pollution levels in Delhi have reached alarming stage. To control the situation, the Delhi government has stopped unnecessary construction work and imposed restrictions on bus movement.

Indian media NDTV reported that the state government has taken strict measures as the air pollution levels in Delhi have reached alarming stage. It has even been decided to conduct online education programs in educational institutions in Delhi. These instructions will be implemented from 8 am on Friday (November 15). The Commission for Air Quality Management has given these suggestions to reduce pollution levels.

In this, petrol-powered and diesel-powered buses of various categories have been banned from plying in Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR) of Gurugram, Ghaziabad, Faridabad and Gautam Buddha Nagar. Apart from this, all non-essential construction work will also be stopped. Only national security, health and certain private construction work will be allowed.

According to the Central Pollution Control Board of India, Delhi, Chandigarh, Ghaziabad, Noida, Gurugram and Baddi have been covered in pollution since Thursday morning. Like Delhi (432), the air quality has reached more or less hazardous levels in Chandigarh (415), Ghaziabad (378), Noida (372), Gurugram (323) and Baddi (320). These levels of air pollution are risky for human health.

However, the situation in Delhi has not suddenly become so bad. It was seen at the end of last month that the pollution levels in Delhi started increasing before the onset of the winter season.
