Police has arrested the former secretary of the Election Commission (EC) Helaluddin Ahmad.
He was arrested by the Kotwali Police Station from Khulshi in Chattogram city on Wednesday (September 23) around 6 pm.
An official of the Chattogram City Police confirmed the matter to Barta24.com.
The official, who did not wish to be named, said that around 6:30 in the evening, the former secretary of the Election Commission Secretariat, Helaluddin Ahmed, was arrested by the CMP's Kotwali police station from Khulshi area of the city. There is a case against him in Dhaka Metropolitan Police Station.
DMP police is already on the way to Chattogram to take him. DMP in this regard will brief later on.
