Miscreants shot two persons including the President of Mohammadiya Housing Society kitchen market in Shiamsjid area of Mohammadpur police station of the capital. They were admitted to Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital in injured condition.
This incident happened on Thursday night around 8 pm. Mohammadpur police station officer-in-charge (OC) Iftekhar Hasan confirmed the matter around 11 pm.
The injured are Abul Hossain (50) and his younger brother Mahbub (42).
Talking to the local traders, it is said that three people came to the market on a motorcycle. They went to the office of the president of the market, Abul Hossain. While the three were leaving, President Abul shouted that he had been pistol-whipped. In the meantime, the people of the market arrested the three persons. The president's younger brother Mahbub was also with them. The assailants then shot 2 rounds in Abul's legs and one in the back of his brother Mahbub and escaped after firing 2 blank rounds. However, due to the presence of people, they left behind the Gixxer model motorcycle they had brought.
Two brothers were taken to Suhrawardy Hospital in an injured condition.
About the shooting incident, the OC said, around 8:00 PM, the President of Mohammadia Housing Society Kitchen Market and his younger brother were shot. They were admitted to the hospital in an injured condition. I am trying to find out about the people involved in the incident.
