BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has returned home from Australia.
He arrived in Dhaka on a Singapore Airlines flight at 10:25 pm on Friday (October 25).
Earlier, on October 9, Mirza Fakhrul left Dhaka for Australia to meet his elder daughter Dr. Shamaruh Mirza and other relatives.
Before leaving, he said, "My elder daughter lives in Canberra, Australia. My wife (Rahat Ara Begum) has been with her elder daughter for the past one and a half months. I went there to give them some time. I hope to return home soon."
Mirza Fakhrul couple has two daughters. The elder daughter Dr. Shamaruh Mirza has been living in Australia with her husband and children since 2006. And the younger daughter Safaruh Mirza teaches at an English school in Dhaka.
