The fire at the Bata showroom at Proshika intersection in Mirpur 6 in the capital was brought under control after three hours with the efforts of six units of the fire service.
The fire service received the news of the fire at midnight on Sunday (January 19).
The fire service said that three units of the Mirpur fire station reached the spot immediately after the news of the fire and tried to control the fire. Then two units from the Kalyanpur fire station and a unit from the Siddiqbazar fire station joined and brought the fire under control after three hours of effort.
Confirming the matter, Rafi Al Faruk, duty officer of the fire service's control room, said.
The building has a Bata showroom shop on the ground floor and two restaurants above.
