Dhaka: The Chief Adviser to the Interim Government, Dr. Muhammad Yunus, said, "When we work alone, we feel alone, there is no one around. Then I feel a little weak. When we all work together again, courage increases in our minds, we are united. Unity is our birth. Unity is our strength."

He said this in the opening speech of the all-party meeting called at the Foreign Service Academy on Thursday (January 16) afternoon.

He said, "When I meet you, when I can sit down with you, it feels very good. It gives me courage. The reason is clear, this government was born in the midst of unity, it was created by unity."

The Chief Adviser said, "With the goal, with the purpose, this government was established, the government gets new enthusiasm. When you see it with everyone, it gets life. One day, in the midst, the students came and said that they will issue a declaration. I have to be there too." I wanted to understand what declaration he was making, he said. I said it won't happen. My wish won't happen; your wish won't happen either. If you want to go back to August 5, you have to recreate what happened in the context of that day. It can't be done alone. The whole feeling of that day was a feeling of unity. No one said you are so-and-so, you are so-and-so. So if you want to do it, you have to do it with everyone. That's clear. If you don't, it won't be right. It will be an insult to the unity with which you created August 5. They were not happy with my words. But gradually they understood that if you want to recreate August 5, you have to do it this way. This conversation started from that. Today's discussion will be centered on it.

The head of the interim government said, if we cannot do it unitedly, the purpose will be hindered. There is no need. If we do it through unity, everyone will have courage. Everyone will think that we are still awake. We have not become dull. Our feelings have not become dull yet, they are still strong. We are united as a nation.

He said, you will pray for as long as I am alive. We will remain with this unity. So we have to follow that path. When I sit with you, give me that courage. Today, I see you as very courageous. We are united by remembering August 5. How we will express that unity in front of the people, recreate August 5, that will now be the topic of discussion.

Mentioning the importance of the declaration, he said, "It is good for the country to come before the country unanimously on this. It is also good internationally. Everyone will see that there have been many stumbles in this nation but it does not move. It is firm, it has become strong. I want to tell the whole world, I want to tell the countrymen."
