Dhaka: A global master plan is in effect every moment to fail the interim government, said Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus.
He said this in his address to the nation on Sunday (November 17) at 7 pm on the occasion of the 100th day of the interim government.
Dr. Muhammad Yunus said, a huge master plan is in effect every moment, globally and in every place and institution of the country, to fail this government, to make it ineffective. One of their biggest efforts is to create division among us.
He said, the leaders of the fallen government, who have laundered a huge amount of money from this country, are trying to return to the country strengthened in that sense. Do not let them succeed at all. Their success means the death of the nation our end as a nation. Be careful. Destroy all their vile efforts through our unity. The way you destroyed their gunshots. Their mirror house. The chains of their lawlessness at every step. Everyone should agree on this, stay united.
The Chief Adviser said, the defeated forces are trying to become your favorites in various guises. Keep yourself free from the conspiracies of the defeated forces, keep the country free. Be firm on this. Do not do anything that helps encourage them. Frustrate them from all sides. If we can ensure that, we do not need to doubt anything else. On behalf of the government, I assure you that despite all kinds of limitations; we will give you a strong economy, make the path to the future easy, and ensure civil rights. No matter how strong the opposing forces are, no matter how bizarre plans of sabotage they may hatch - be ready to thwart everything. Be ready at all times so that no one can snatch away the freedom we have achieved from us.
Addressing the people, he said, you know that the fallen government and its cronies have laundered 12-15 billion dollars from the country every year. The anti-corruption organization Transparency International, Bangladesh recently gave this information. We have taken all possible initiatives to bring back this laundered money. If we are successful in this work, our economy will gain further momentum. We are taking help from various international aid organizations in this work.
Thanking the world leaders, he further said that almost all of them have extended their hands of cooperation to Bangladesh in this critical time. When I attended the session of the United Nations General Assembly in September, I had the opportunity to meet with the heads of government of many countries of the world including the United States, the European Union, Canada, Italy, Holland, the UN Secretary General. They have spontaneously pledged to provide all-out cooperation to us. I also had meetings with the heads of government of several neighboring countries including Nepal, Maldives and Pakistan, where I talked about reviving SAARC.
