A crowd has thronged Suhrawardy Udyan in the capital since early morning to attend the Islamic conference. People can be seen coming to the conference venue on foot, by private transport, bus and metro rail.
The conference, which will begin from early morning on Tuesday (November 5), will start from 9 am and will continue till 1 pm where the issues of Dawah and Tabligh, Qawmi Madrasa and the preservation of the religion will be discussed.
Scholars and devout Muslims from different parts of the country can be seen coming to the conference venue since early morning today, focusing on the Islamic conference. Traffic jams have been created in almost every place in the capital due to the entry of a large number of people into Dhaka.
In such a situation, people can be seen coming to the conference venue even on foot from Signboard, Jatrabari, Uttara, Gabtoli without getting public transport.
A huge crowd can also be seen coming to the conference venue on bus and metro rail. On this day, many people were seen standing for buses in Mirpur, Shewrapara and unable to get a bus to go to the conference by metro rail. As a result, the metro rail was also overcrowded. There was no place to hold sesame seeds in the metro rail.
Earlier, Qawmi Madrasa-based scholars had held several press conferences and called on all levels of Ulama-Mashaykhs and the general public to join the conference.
Meanwhile, since 2019, the Biswa Ijtema has been held in two phases. In the first phase, pro-Qawmi scholars Ulama and the general public participated, and in the second phase, followers of Maulana Saad participated. However, this time, followers of Maulana Saad are claiming that they want to hold the Ijtema in the first phase. Qawmi Madrasa-based scholars opposed this demand and an Islamic conference was organized on their behalf.
